At the African American Methodist Church, the blend of traditional hymns and powerful gospel music fills the air, a testament to the congregation's history rooted in resilience and faith. Sunday services often start with a warm embrace and prayers that weave everyday struggles into a communal spiritual journey. The creaking wooden pews hold families whose grandparents once fought for the right to worship freely here.
