We had this awkward sloping patch in the backyard that was impossible to mow or plant on, always turning muddy after rain. Instead of fighting it with retaining walls, we leveled it out and installed artificial turf. Now it's a neat, usable space for the kids to play on, and we don't have to worry about drainage or maintenance. It just blends into the rest of the yard like it was always meant to be there.
